KONTRIBUSI KEKUATAN OTOT TUNGKAI TERHADAP TENDANGAN SABIT SISWA SMA NEGERI 1 ROKAN IV KOTO

Abstract

The research problem is the low ability of sickle kicks of SMA Negeri 1 Rokan IV Koto students who is affected by the weakness of leg muscles in doing kicks. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of leg muscle strength to the speed of sickle kicks at SMA Negeri 1 Rokan IV Koto.This type of research is correlation, which is looking at which contribution of leg muscle strength to the speed of the kick sickle. The study population was 15 extracurricular pencaksilat students of SMA Negeri 1 Rokan IV Koto with a total of 15 people with a sampling technique with a total sampling technique. The research instrument for leg muscle strength was the Wall Sit Squat Test while for the kick was the sickle kick speed. The analysis technique used is the product moment correlation manually.The results showed, 1) the ability of leg muscle strength was categorized unfavorably with a value of 46.23, 2) the ability of the sickle kick speed was categorized well with a value of 22.53, 3) data analysis showed an arithmetic of 0.573 with r table of 0.532 then obtained , r arithmetic large than r table, then there is a contribution of 33%. There is a contribution between leg muscles to the speed of kick sickle students of SMA Negeri 1 Rokan IV Koto
